Year 6

Welcome to Year 6!

Hello! Mrs Berry, Mr Finnegan, Miss Martin, Miss Kennedy and Mrs English are very excited to be your P6 teachers this year. We will be doing lots of interesting things throughout the year and we'll be using this page to keep you up-to-date! We are really enjoying our Viking topic. Take a look at our science investigation work and our research projects.

Block 1 P6

World Book Day

P6 had a great time on World Book Day. We were given a brand new novel called 'The Giant's Necklace' and read them wthi some very lovely visitors. Check out the pictures below. We loved it!

P6 are really enjoying our instruction writing focus. We can make amazing cups of tea now!

P6 Residential!

P6 had an AMAZING time on their residential! We enjoyed a walk over Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and tours around the Giants Causeway and Dunluce Castle. We also enjoyed a disco at the hotel that night - we were relieved to finally get to our beds at 10.30pm.

On Thursday we had a great day on the beach. We enjoyed lots of beach games, some archery and a spot of body boarding. Afterwards, we went for a walk around Portrush. We enjoyed some ice cream, playing at the amusements and shopping in Jingles! That night we enjoyed a game of bowling in the Jet Centre. The teachers were relieved that Mr Craig did not beat them in the bowling! : )

We were sad to wave goodbye to the Lodge Hotel the next morning but glad to be on our way to Rose Park Farm in Ballymoney. We loved petting all the different animals and our barrel ride. It was the best!

We had an amazing time on residential and want to thank our teachers for taking us. A special thank you goes to Mrs Wilson for organising the trip. We can't wait for our P7 residential now!
