We hope you are all well and keeping safe by staying at home.
We have been very busy setting up extra activities for your child to try out at home.
One exciting new programme we are trialling is the iHub in First News. First News is an award-winning national UK newspaper for children. The iHub is an online teaching tool comprising of interactive weekly comprehensions, vocabulary and puzzles. The activities are tailored to each pupil based on their reading level and the activities will change weekly.
Please click on your child’s class below to access your child’s log in details. Once you have accessed the iHub, please change the password and make a note of it as you will need it to log in each week.
We will have access to the iHub for the next 4 weeks to trial it. The number of children accessing this resource over the next 4 weeks will determine if we think this interactive tool is a worthwhile investment in the future.
All children from P5-7 will be directed by their teacher to work on the activities in the iHub on a Tuesday, however the children can access it any day of the week to complete their tasks. Teachers will be logging in to check on each child’s progress.
We hope you will find this a useful resource during this period of home learning! Happy reading everyone!
