Use a reading book or bug club book to word spot how many nouns? How many adjectives? How many verbs?
Talk about your favourite story - Who is the main character? Where is the story set? What happens in the story? How does the character feel?
Read story together with support as necessary. Talk about story.
Read the questions together. Ask children to talk about their answers.
