Hi there Primary 3!
Welcome to our Summer Learning page. We've filled it full of fun and exciting ideas that will help you keep on top of all the amazing literacy and numeracy learning you have done this year.
We know that this year has been a little bit strange and we know that the summer holidays won't be what we're all used to either, but it doesn't mean we can't enjoy ourselves - we just need to think of new ways how!
We're still going to ask you to try to read every day - just a little bit. Read a book on BugClub; read the ingredients and method in a recipe; read the instructions to a new game - but keep reading. Read up a tree, read in the bath, read in a den made of sheets - but keep reading.
The next thing we're going to ask you to do is to practise your number work. Play games; have competitions and keep score; spot the number patterns on doors; read the long numbers on car registration plates - keep counting.
Learning new things can be very exciting, it can also be a sign of how much you've grown. Try to learn to tie your shoe laces, ride your bike or even make your own cereal on a morning. Learning new things doesn't have to be work though, do it when you're playing with your family or going on walks - you'll wake up one morning and realise how much you have learned.
We are so excited to hear all about your adventures and your time away from us once we're all back together in school.
Now, go and have those adventures - it's the summer holidays!
