When your child is preparing to move from Primary to Post – Primary School, it is both an exciting and an anxious time for the young person and their family. Being supportive and positive will help your child to embrace the changes and remain calm. Each week there will be a Transition Activity for your child to complete. This will encourage them to start thinking through some of the changes that will occur when they move from Primary to Post – Primary School. It will also give them a chance to think about some of the hopes, dreams and worries that they have about the transition process.
Below is a link to a document entitled, ‘Transition from Primary to Post – Primary.’ It acts as a guide for parents when helping their children during the transition.
