Accelerated Reading Prizes
We want children to love reading. Elmgrove uses the Accelerated Reader programme to encourage children to read by awarding points for every book they read and pass a quiz about. The children can use their points to buy a prize from Miss Rooney's prize cupboard. The Accelerated Reader programme also helps teachers to monitor how the children's reading skills are progressing.
The PTFA gave the school literacy team a donation to buy some exciting new prizes for the Accelerated Reader prize cupboard.
