Bronze Award
Awarded March 2019
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Bronze School Mark for Excellence in Sustainable Travel from Sustrans. This award is given to schools that are working to help the school community choose to travel in active and sustainable ways. Bronze Award schools must show that there is a decrease in the number of children choosing to travel by car to school – so thank you for joining us on this journey! The Eco Warriors have been working hard behind the scenes to promote sustainable travel, ensure we as a school know about the benefits of active travel and to reduce the amount of traffic around our school gates. We have done this through events like Ditch the Dark Day which promotes staying safe and seen, workshops to teach cycle skills, scooter skills and bike maintenance, whole school events like Walk to Syria and Feet First Families – and much much more! These pupils have put in lots of work after school and we want to celebrate their dedication and effort!
