Mr. Thompson's Retirement

Thursday 21st December 2000 was Mr. Thompson's last day as principal of Elmgrove Primary School. He arrived at the school in November 1995 after working as princiapl in Fullerton House and Harding Memorial and as an advisor in the Belfast Education and Library Board. He was presented with a ticket for two nights accomodation at the Tinakilly House Hotel in Ireland. A book was signed by the pupils of the school which included pictures of everyone who works at the school (teaching staff, secretaries, reading recovery assistants, canteen staff, lunchtime supervisers and the lollipop man).
