Operation Christmas Child Appeal 1998

For the last three years Mr. Gray has been collecting shoe boxes with presents to send to children in war torn countries so they can celebrate Christmas. The number of boxes keeps exceeding all expectations. This year we has a special visitor, the Christian singer Nia from Wales to tell us about the appeal. In 1996 we obtained 44 boxes, in 1997 around 137 boxes and we think in 1998 we put together 349 boxes. Well done everybody! We had a lady who came into the school who had knitted four woolly hats for some of the boxes.

The school was featured in a Northern Ireland daily newspaper - the News Letter. The article appeared on Tuesday November 10, 1998 and was a half page article. You can find out more about Operation Christmas Child by visiting their website.

Caleb received a letter from Kosovo thanking him for his present.
