P3 trip to Castle Espie

P3 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Castle Espie. This was the start to their new topic 'What is Nature?' They were able to feed some of the ducks and geese. The pupils also enjoyed an exciting time spotting a range of birds from the bird hide overlooking Strangford Lough. They also took part in an amazing workshop learning all about the Brent geese that visit Strangford Lough every winter to eat the delicious eel grass and the journey they have to complete from Arctic Canada to get here. 

 

Everyone agrees this was a wonderful day out!
