Visit of Elmgrove Football Team of 1940s

We have a photocopy of a picture in the Archives / History section of the website from the 1940s which shows a young Billy Bingham. Some of the other members of the tema visited Elmgrove in November 2000 to present the school with a picture of the team. Mr. Witherspoon conducted the presentation - he has retired after being in charge of the youth Office of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. He also recounted how Ravenscroft School during the blitz was hit and the pupils there merged with Elmgrove to continue their studies. The infant block contained the Ravenscroft children while the Junior block housed Elmgrove.
