P3 JM Nerve Centre Coding
During our NERVE coding lesson, pupils worked in groups completing unplugged activities. They were thinking about clear instructions with two pupils programming and writing code for the third pupil to ‘be the bot’. The children followed the instructions to move Barney Bear around the forest to collect the honey. Pupils then had the opportunity to ‘debug’ the code to fix any errors.
Later, pupils used the Tynker app to try using ‘building block’ code.
All of P3JM had a great time coding and extending their abilities. This was part of the Primary Partnership with NERVE Belfast that Elmgrove has been successful in securing this year.
